Podiatry Foot Care: The Best Christmas Gift?

With Christmas around the corner and shops filled with people looking for ‘items’ to give, we thought we’d propose a gift that could help your loved ones stay on their feet for years to come: a podiatry appointment.

Who Can Benefit From Podiatry?

If you’ve never been to see a podiatrist before, or you’ve only seen them for a specific problem, you may not realise the extensive range of services podiatrists can offer. Especially if they’re like us and have invested in fantastic technologies such as shockwave, laser, and plenty more like we have that help our patients get better results faster.

We often work with and help:

  • Those with heel pain, whether they’re active or just want to go throughout their days comfortably at work and home
  • Children with gait problems like in-toeing, knock knees, and regular tripping, who can’t keep up with their friends in sports at school, or who have warts, ingrown toenails and other pains.
  • Those needing better pain management - using innovative treatments like laser to support pain relief
  • Those who are unhappy with the cosmetic appearance of their toenails - and want a safe, healthy improvement in one appointment. Here, we offer Keryflex and nail fungus treatment if you have a fungal nail infection.
  • Those who want the competitive edge in sports - to optimise their performance, foot structure and lower limb biomechanics.
  • Those with a painful injury in their foot, ankle, leg, knee or hip - whether it has been present for days or years - with a focus on not only managing the current symptoms but preventing them from returning in the future
  • Those wanting to recover their quickest after surgery or a procedure
  • Those wanting to stay active, comfortable and independent for as long as possible into their golden years

Simply put: if you have a pain or problem in your lower limbs, even if you’ve been told by others that there’s little that can be done for your ongoing pain, we can help.

What Podiatry Services Can You Gift?

While you’re welcome to gift your loved ones a general appointment to see one of our podiatrists, here are some specific services we’re known for and that patients love.

Keryflex nail restoration for healthy, natural-looking toenails

Know someone that feels uncomfortable or embarrassed about the way their toenails look? We can transform the appearance of their toenails in one appointment using our Keryflex nail restoration system. Better yet, all our techniques in our clinic are completed using the highest safety and hygiene protocols, so you eliminate the traditional risk of fungal toenails and other infections from visiting a nail salon.

Corn, callus and cracked heel removal

There’s always one member of the family that’s happy to ignore a painful problem like corns, calluses and cracked heels on the bottom of the feet. A problem that is very treatable in one appointment, yet they insist that they’re absolutely fine and it’s no big deal

Our skin and nail care appointments treat all these problems and any wounds while trimming and reducing the thickness of even the toughest toenails. See what else is included here.

Custom foot orthotics for support and relief

If one of your loved ones often comes home at the end of a long day to put their feet up, breathe out a big sigh of relief, and mention how achy their feet had been throughout the day - then let us help them get relief while assisting them to stay more comfortable throughout the day.

We use many techniques and tools to improve comfort and support. One of our primary tools is custom foot orthotics made from an impression of the patient's feet, paired with a comprehensive assessment and gait analysis by our podiatrists.

Fungal nail treatment using PACT

At Perform Podiatry, we understand the frustration of dealing with fungal nail infections and the disappointment of ineffective creams. That’s why we’re excited to offer PACT (Photodynamic Antimicrobial Therapy) as a safe, effective, and painless solution for even the most stubborn fungal nail infections. PACT uses a high-powered LED light and specially formulated gel that reacts to the light, producing powerful antifungal effects. This treatment targets and eliminates the nail fungus and its spores, which helps stop the infection from spreading—all without causing harm to the healthy nail or surrounding skin.

We also offer evidence-based treatments for pain or injuries that have been present on and off for months or years.

Been told there’s nothing to be done about that nagging knee pain that flares up whenever you go for a run? Struggling with the ball of your foot hurting every time you wear your favourite pair of shoes, no matter what inserts you try? These are all things we can help with - and so much more.

Our podiatrists specialise in treating pain and problems that have persisted for months or even years, offering evidence-based solutions to help you finally find relief. Many people believe they must live with ongoing discomfort, whether it’s lingering heel pain that flares up during sports, knee pain that makes running difficult, or post-surgical pain that never fully resolves. The truth is that these issues are often treatable with the right approach. At Perform Podiatry, we use advanced diagnostic techniques to identify the root cause of your pain and develop tailored treatment plans that not only address your symptoms but also help prevent them from returning. You don’t have to settle for a life of constant pain—we’re here to help you take the next step toward lasting relief.

Better health starts with a podiatry gift voucher

We may be biased - but we definitely think a podiatry appointment is one of the best and most thoughtful gifts - and an investment into the health, well-being and comfort of your loved ones. Contact us to get yours!
